Best Cafés, Bakery and Pastry Shops

If you know me you know I love my coffee!  I love trying new places and maybe grabbing a nice pastry or bread at the same time.  Here are some of my favourite spots in and around Montreal.

Chez Potier : Address: 630 Wellington St, Montreal, Quebec H3C 0X9

What to have: their pastries are WOW! You can tell they're made with quality ingredients and made with love.  You can taste the butter in each bite.  I have the lemon tart and butter croissants.

OFauria: Address: 3417 Boul. le Carrefour, Laval, QC H7T 0M9

What to have: their croissants, chocolatines, pastries...you name it, it's great!  They have this sort of chocolatine made with hazelnuts and chocolate and it's just so good!  A bit pricey, but worth it.  Their pastries are also delicious, my personal favourite is the ''Fraisier'', it's a strawberry shortcake with a twist. Mmm...

Noök Café Yoga : Address: 1001 Rue Valiquette, Sainte-Adèle, QC J8B 2M4

What to have: their breakfast sandwich. It's a fritata, with cheddar on a crispy, buttery croissant and the best part is their homemade herb mayonnaise...just soooo good!  I also dream about their vegan, chocolate and pistachio muffins...I swear I drive 45 minutes to get their muffin and a perfectly hot latte with oat milk. If I'm there for a few hours, I'll for sure have a bowl of their two salads. One is an orzo salad with peppers, black olives and feta and the other is composed of broccoli, apples, carrots and sliced almonds with a vegan homemade dressing that's a bit sweet and creamy.  You can tell they use quality ingredients and take pride in everything they do.  The service is impeccable. They also change their menu quite often, but keep some of the classics.

Olive et Gourmando: Address: 351 Saint-Paul St. W. Montreal, H2Y 2A7 PQ.

What to have: they have this cheese, ham and apricot jam scone in the morning, that is to die for...like really!  The thing is, you need to hurry and go early, because they run out of them quickly.  I have also tasted approximately one hundred and twenty amandines from different locations in Quebec, in search of the the best one and Olive et Gourmando make my favourite one.

Ferlucci Coffee Shop: Address: 432 Rue de Castelnau East, Montréal, QC H2R 1R3

What to have: any coffee, any style you want.  They're the only café I know that has actual pistachio milk and I love it!

Baristello Outremont: Address: 1330 Ave.Thérèse-Lavoie-Roux, Montréal, QC H2V

What to have: The affogatos! You can choose your gelato flavour and my personal favourite is the hazelnut affogato...thank me later!
